CORE MEANING:

The body remembers. Experience leaves marks even when the mind can not recall.

distorted responses to touch or pressure.

CORE PATHOLOGY:

Somatic retention.

SYMPTOMS:

-Bodily reactions without obvious psychological cause

-Posture and gestures shaped by earlier experience

-The body reacting before the mind understands

PROGNOSIS:

Somatic memory does not vanish with forgetting.

It remains embedded in the body until new experiences slowly change the responses.

SOMATIC INSCRIPTION

(Where memory becomes flesh)

Somatic Inscription is composed in black and white, isolating the body against a dark field. Glass cups, circular marks and viscous liquid stain the skin. The close views begin with physical pressure and end with the image of a melting mind.
